Biofuels- The Future of Energy

Image

Increase in the price of petrol, diesel and other fuels used in the present era has driven the scientific community to search for an alternative fuel generation. Biofuels are found as an alternative to the traditional fuels. Biofuels are derived from plant and other feedstock which can be grown over a period of time and the results can be harvested reducing the effects on the climatic conditions. Bio glycerine is also considered as another alternative to the traditional fuels. With the many advantages in using biofuels, few dis advantages are also listed which could be overcome with designed proposals. The major concern rotates around the use of large land which might occupy the crop lands. Other problems as soil erosion, deforestation, and increase in salinity may also be interlinked with biofuel production.

Research on Biofuels is gaining high importance to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases liberated by fossil fuels.
