Graphene-Based Materials Used in as Stationary Phase for Chromatography

Image

Graphene has fascinated the scientific community since its discovery. Graphene is a one atom thick planer sheet. Graphene exhibited great potential to be application in analytical chemistry due to its exceptional properties. Chromatography is a versatile, powerful separation and analysis technique. In this article, an overview of graphene and graphene-based materials used in stationary phase for gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and ion chromatography is presented. Detail separation fabrication methods and separation mechanisms, characteristic of graphene-based materials column was discussed in the article.
